CONCEPT 3. SINE BENCH

SINE BENCH

The concept of this bench is that it shape converge in plan to encourage

interactions. The elevation represents sine and a parabol in order to

optimize the use of materials. The manufature is easy with “slides” of wood and

some little sandard pieces which hold the all together. This bench cen be think

as a public device or not...

CONCEPT 2. SPIDERWEB STAR TABLE

SPIDERWEB STAR TABLE

The shape of this table is based on the pentagone and the

star. Those two complementary basic geometries can morph

together easily. In plan, we can associate this shape with a

spiderweb when you divide it by horizontal plans. In this way, the

processus of fabrication is easier as you can cut horizontal flat

layers. In order to reduce material , I figured that we need to add

some structure to hold thinner pieces so I created five stiffeners

which hold the wood contours. The top is cover by glass.

CONCEPT 1. ROCKING CHAIR

ROKING CHAIR

The first idea of this concept was to have fun with a chair .

A rocking chair is a good way to be interactive wi th the space

around you. The design concept is base on a semi-sphere. The

structure is composed of 6 pipes arcs which hold together the

cushion. In order to not be completely unbalanced, one of the

side have to be heavier . So the solut ion can be ton add some

weight hidden on the cushions.
